Sky Lanterns were originally used hundreds of years ago as signalling devices by the military, as the omitted light from the sky lantern could be seen from miles around. More recently they are used for celebrations and other special occasions, one festival in particular is the Loy Krathong festival in Thailand. Folklore has it that the lanterns carry away bad spirits and misfortune high into the sky and far away leaving only good luck and fortune for the releaser.  Sly Lanterns create a truely unforgettable moment and are perfect for all types of celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, christenings, outdoor concerts, parties, infact get togethers of any kind. 

All our Sky Lanterns are hand made in one of the worlds largest most experienced Sky Lantern factories based in Thailand. every Lantern is carefully produced to ensure the highest possible level of quality and reliability. The fuel cells we use have been specifically designed to be both envirnmentally friendly and very easy to light, making our lanterns the easierst and safest to use on the market today. in fact the composition of our fuel cells is so safe they are actually edible - although we obviously don't recommend it!!
